Here are 8 new products we are releasing at GenCon.

Just a short posting this week.  I wanted to let any of you gamer fans out there know that I’ll be attending GenCon from the August 15th – 18th.  I’ll be set up at the Flying Buffalo booth.  I’m there to help promote the new Deluxe T&T products we have finished in time for the Convention.  As you can see from the picture above, we’ve been quite busy.

I’ll also have the City of the Gods books and comics to sell.  If you don’t know, Wynn and Scott finished the second novel and it came out a month or so ago.  I’ll have the new novel with me along with the first one, the new Art of the Gods book and the City of the Gods Map Pack.

Here are some of the City of the Gods Books I'll have at GenCon.

I may even be doing some sketches– it depends on how busy things are though.

Rick Loomis and Ken St Andre will also be at the Con.  Unfortunately Liz Danforth was not able to attend, but we’ll have a lot of her prints and original art on hand, so if you want to get any of her stuff – you’ll be able to.

So please stop by if you can and say hi!

After GenCon when I get back to town, my main effort will be to finish the sketch cards for Mars Attacks: Invasion.  Topps hired me to 100 sketch cards for them and I have 87 of them done and ready to go.  Visit their official Facebook page here: http://www.facebook.com/MarsAttacks

Below are 4 of the cards I did for the set.  I really tried to make each one unique and a different picture.  I’ll do a whole post about the sketch cards in the near future.

Well, that’s it for this post.  Feel free to comment and I’ll see you all soon.

I’m working on so many projects that are fantasy and sci-fi related, but are taking place in very different arenas, (games, comics, novels, cards) that I thought I needed a place where I could sort of bring them all together and let fans of my comics know about my gaming art and fans of City of the Gods know about my trading card and other fantasy work.  So now you can see it all in one place.

I owe Liz Danforth a big thanks for for sitting me down and telling me that I need to do a better job of promoting ME as an artist, instead of just working in the background and letting the project I’m working on be the only thing that let’s people know who I am and what I’m up to.  By the way, if you want to see what Liz is up to, check out her blog here: http://www.lizdanforth.com/

I’ll try over the next week or so to post about each of the major projects I’m currently involved in.
For now though, let me touch on the main things I’m working on this month:

Deluxe Tunnels & Trolls – This is actually a lot of books and items for the dT&T RPG.  I just finished the additions to Dungeon of the Bear and it will go to press in the next few days.

Topps Mars Attacks Sketch Cards – Yes Topps hired me to create 100 hand drawn sketch cards for their upcoming set of Mars Attacks cards.  I already have 10 full color cards finished!

City of the Gods – I just got the new Art of the Gods book done for Comic Con.  It’s a 48 page full color collection of the art I have created for the City of the Gods novels, games and comics.  I’m really proud of this book – it came out great.

There are several more, but these are the biggies.  I hope that this blog will become the place for fans of my work to find out a little more about me and the other things I’m doing.  I know I have a lot of clients who are probably not aware of who else I’ve done work for, so now maybe they’ll think of me for different jobs, besides just illustrations or pre-press.  I also do logo design, maps, marketing, web design, digital restoration and book design.   I’ve co-produced a movie, created successful Kickstarter campaigns, written articles, done game design and more.  You can see more about my skill set on my linked in page:.  My LinkedIn profile is here: www.linkedin.com/in/stevecrompton/

Ok I think that is a good start.  I’d love to hear your comments and suggestions on what you’d like to see me put on this new blog.  At the very least drop a comment of support or wish me well.  Thanks a lot for your time!  I’ll be posting more art and samples in the next few days, so stay tuned.
