I’m working on so many projects that are fantasy and sci-fi related, but are taking place in very different arenas, (games, comics, novels, cards) that I thought I needed a place where I could sort of bring them all together and let fans of my comics know about my gaming art and fans of City of the Gods know about my trading card and other fantasy work.  So now you can see it all in one place.

I owe Liz Danforth a big thanks for for sitting me down and telling me that I need to do a better job of promoting ME as an artist, instead of just working in the background and letting the project I’m working on be the only thing that let’s people know who I am and what I’m up to.  By the way, if you want to see what Liz is up to, check out her blog here: http://www.lizdanforth.com/

I’ll try over the next week or so to post about each of the major projects I’m currently involved in.
For now though, let me touch on the main things I’m working on this month:

Deluxe Tunnels & Trolls – This is actually a lot of books and items for the dT&T RPG.  I just finished the additions to Dungeon of the Bear and it will go to press in the next few days.
Here’s a link to our dT&T Blog:  http://deluxetunnelsandtrolls.wordpress.com/

Topps Mars Attacks Sketch Cards – Yes Topps hired me to create 100 hand drawn sketch cards for their upcoming set of Mars Attacks cards.  I already have 10 full color cards finished!

City of the Gods – I just got the new Art of the Gods book done for Comic Con.  It’s a 48 page full color collection of the art I have created for the City of the Gods novels, games and comics.  I’m really proud of this book – it came out great.
See it at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Art-Gods-collection-plates-commentary/dp/1490905251/

There are several more, but these are the biggies.  I hope that this blog will become the place for fans of my work to find out a little more about me and the other things I’m doing.  I know I have a lot of clients who are probably not aware of who else I’ve done work for, so now maybe they’ll think of me for different jobs, besides just illustrations or pre-press.  I also do logo design, maps, marketing, web design, digital restoration and book design.   I’ve co-produced a movie, created successful Kickstarter campaigns, written articles, done game design and more.  You can see more about my skill set on my linked in page:.  My LinkedIn profile is here: www.linkedin.com/in/stevecrompton/

Ok I think that is a good start.  I’d love to hear your comments and suggestions on what you’d like to see me put on this new blog.  At the very least drop a comment of support or wish me well.  Thanks a lot for your time!  I’ll be posting more art and samples in the next few days, so stay tuned.

Cool, I always got a kick out of the Mars Attacks! cards.

I still need to take in the Art of the Guards book. Busy planning for a trip. Maybe I should take the PDF on my tablet . . .

Wynn & Stephan – Thanks for commenting, I feel less lonely that way – lol.
Stephan you can also get the Art of the Gods as a pdf from Drive-thru for $1.99. Here’s the link to that: http://comics.drivethrustuff.com/product/116348/Art-of-the-Gods Thanks again for the interest. For those of you that don’t know (probably most of you) I illustrated Stephen Jones, Dark Temple T&T solitaire adventure back in 1993 or 94. Its one of the nicer ones I did. IT’s been great reviisting many of the T&T books I worked on in past. I did the logo and maps for Dungeon of the Bear for example, and now 30 years later I had the chance to revisit that book, redo my art and add a few more maps to the mix as well. You don’t often get the opportunity to revisit art you’ve done – its a great feeling!
